Mixed trends in European, US Cobalt Amid Dearth of Activity

Platts reported that cobalt markets experienced mixed trends in trading this week.

The market news is quoted as saying:

One consumer source said it was strange considering the summer slowdown, but “cobalt prices appeared to be firming.” He added that spot business was still fairly poor and expects the higher offer prices were the result of traders looking to tempt buyers back into the market.
