ABB Hoists Big Order from Xstrata Zinc

Australian Mining Journal reported that Xstrata (LSE:XTA) has commissioned ABB (NYSE:ABB) for a hoisting system at the George Fisher mine.

As quoted in the market news:

ABB will design, supply and commission all the electrical and mechanical equipment for the hoist. It will operate at speeds of 16m per second and raise 600tph.
