Stocks Advance, Dow Erases 2011 Loss

Bloomberg reports stocks rose and commodities gained as investors grew more confident economic growth will continue.

The market news is quoted as saying,

Natural gas, nickel and aluminum climbed at least 1.6 percent to lead gains in 16 of 24 commodities tracked by the S&P GSCI Index, which climbed 0.3 percent. Hogs and cattle led declines, losing 0.4 percent or more. Crude oil swung between gains and losses near $89 a barrel in New York.
