The Dow Jones Business News reported that copper prices remained flat on Monday, largely due to signs of slower economic growth in China.
    As quoted in the publication:

The most actively traded contract, for December delivery, was recently down 0.30 cent, or 0.1%, at $2.2390 a pound on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Prices are hovering near six-year lows as expectations of slower economic growth in China tarnish investors’ outlook on demand for the industrial metal. China consumes about 40% of the world’s copper, but its economy has lost steam in recent quarters making traders worry that the country’s appetite for copper will also wane. Copper is widely used in manufacturing and construction, making its price sensitive to shifts in business activity.
