Platinum Advances as Workers Get Hit By Rubber Bullets in Amplats Mine

Bloomberg reported that platinum climbed 0.6% as workers were hit by security guards with rubber bullets at Anglo American Platinum’s South African Siphumelele mine.

As quoted in the market news:

Platinum was up 0.6 percent at $1,691 an ounce, after rising as much as 1.1 percent to $1,698.75.
