Mining Weekly reported Anglo American Platinum (JSE::AAL) says it will see lower first-half earnings due to lower sales volume and prices.
As quoted in the market news:
The JSE-listed company said its earnings for the six months to the end of June would fall by more than 20% from the reported earnings in the comparative period in 2011.
Amplats stated, however, that it could not quantify the extent of the decrease in expected earnings, owing to volatility in exchange rates and metal prices.
