US and Israel Meet for Conflict Diamonds Discussion

JTA reported that Jose Fernandez, the United States’ assistant secretary of state for economic and business affairs, is in Israel to discuss trade, particularly conflict diamonds.

As quoted in the market news:

“During this visit, Assistant Secretary Fernandez will meet with government officials and business community representatives to discuss U.S.-Israel bilateral and regional economic issues and conflict diamonds, respectively,” [a Department of State] statement said.
