Belgium’s October Polished Diamond Exports Up 26 Percent

Rapaport reported that according to the Antwerp World Diamond Centre, Belgium’s October polished diamond exports came to $1.329 billion, 26 percent higher than they were during the year-ago period.

Rapaport reported that according to the Antwerp World Diamond Centre, Belgium’s October polished diamond exports came to $1.329 billion, 26 percent higher than they were during the year-ago period.

As quoted in the market news:

By volume, exports ‎rose 5 percent to 633,746 carats as the average price increased 19 ‎percent to $2,097.16 per carat. ‎

Belgium’s polished exports to the U.S. rose 42 percent to $441.3 million during the month, ‎while exports to Israel rose 26 percent to $152.1 million. Exports to India grew 9 percent to $55.4 million, while exports to Hong Kong rose 24 percent and those to Switzerland increased by 8 percent to $103.9 million.
