3-Day Strike at Chinese Uranium Mine in Niger Halts Production

Mining Weekly reported that production was halted at a China National Nuclear Corp uranium in Niger as workers went on a 72-hour strike to demand better salary and bonuses.

As quoted in the market news:

Boubacar Mamane, a spokesman for the Syntramines labour union, said 680 workers have downed tools for a three-day strike, which could be extended to an open-ended work stoppage if their demands were not met.
