LAS VEGAS, NV–(Marketwired – Apr 5, 2016) – American Graphite Technologies Inc. (“AGIN” or the “Company”) (OTC Pink: AGIN) is pleased to announce the assay results of grab surface samples from its Lac Rouge Graphite Project located near TIMCAL’s Lac des Iles graphite mine in the province of Quebec. Results from 14 mineralized samples indicate graphite values in the range of 2.16% Graphitic Carbon (Cg) to 21.4% Cg with average of 9.2% Cg.
Eight of the mineralized samples were taken from newly staked claims waiting for approval from the Quebec Ministry for Natural Resources and Mines (MRNF Quebec) (See January 25 press release).
A total of 44 grab surface samples were collected during the fieldwork out of which 14 samples were taken from identified graphite mineralized outcrops and boulders and the remaining 30 samples were taken from country rocks belonging to Grenville Province to have an idea of background graphite concentration. The results of 25 background samples indicate graphite concentration in the range of less than 0.01% to 1.89% Cg, whereas five background samples were not assayed.
The samples were prepared and assayed at SGS Laboratories, Lakefield, Ontario, which is a globally accredited independent laboratory for geochemistry and metallurgy. The samples were assayed by SGS Method GE/GO/GC_CS – A05V, where a weighed sample is roasted in oven at 550 C for 1 hour to remove all organic carbon. Carbonate carbon is then leached/evolved using HCl. The sample was then dried to remove the chlorides. The residue is mixed with metal accelerators and placed in the LECO IR combustion system. The residual carbon is taken as graphitic carbon. SGS Laboratories has its own Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures.
“We are very pleased with the results of 2015 exploration work and its results. The exploration work has proved the merit of the Lac Rouge Graphite Project as a promising exploration project. The Company is planning to carry out further exploration work in the spring of 2016 which will include geophysical survey, trenching and sampling,” said Con Anast, President and CEO of American Graphite Technologies Inc.

LAC ROUGE GRAPHITE PROPERTY – KEY HIGHLIGHTS
- 100% ownership of 84 mineral claims covering approximately 5,000 hectares of land in Quebec, Canada. Additional 15 claims covering approximately 885 hectares were staked in 2015, waiting for approval from MRNF Quebec.
- Located within 3 miles of a world class, high-grade graphite deposit (TIMCAL’s Lac des Iles mine has been in production since 1989 with a capacity of 25,000 tons of graphite annually. Source: https://www.mern.gouv.qc.ca/mines/industrie/mineraux/mineraux-exploitation-graphite.jsp).
- Underlain by the same geological environment as the TIMCAL mine, consisting of Metasedimentary Belt of the Grenville Province, which includes quartzofeldspathic rocks, quartzite, biotite gneiss, limestone/marble and locally pegmatitic quartzofeldspathic rocks.
- Excellent infrastructure support with road accessibility, located 150km from Montreal. Water, power and manpower are all available locally.
- 2015 exploration work identified large flake graphite mineralization on the Property, with flake size in the range of 1-3 mm. The sample assay results show graphite values in the range of 2.16% Graphitic Carbon (Cg) to 21.4% Cg with average of 9.2% Cg.

ABOUT AMERICAN GRAPHITE TECHNOLOGIES INC
American Graphite Technologies Inc. is a mineral exploration and technology development company. By concentrating on securing graphite mining opportunities and the commercialization of graphene specific proprietary technology methods, management is actively seeking profitable opportunities and to maximize shareholder value. Graphene has been described as the “miracle material” of the 21st Century and is believed to be stronger than steel and more conductive than copper while being flexible, making it plausible as a replacement for silicon, possibly leading to thinner, faster, cheaper, more flexible devices including power sources. The crystalline or flake form of graphite consists of many two-dimensional graphene sheets stacked together. In 2010 the Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded to Andre Geim and Konstantin Novoselov for groundbreaking experiments regarding graphene. The demand for batteries, primarily nickel-metal-hydride and lithium-ion batteries, have caused a growth in graphite demand as it is used to construct anodes in all major battery technologies. This growth is driven by portable electronics, such as laptops, mobile phones, tablets, Smartphone and power tools. Electric vehicle batteries are anticipated to further increase graphite demand. As an example, a lithium-ion battery in a fully electric Nissan Leaf contains nearly 40 kg of graphite.
