Silvercorp in deal to buy majority interest in Yunxiang Mining

Canadian Business online.com reports that Silvercorp Metals Inc. (TSX:SVM,NYSE:SVM) is seeking to acquire a majority interest in Chinese Yunxiang Mining Co. Ltd.

The story is quoted as saying:

Silvercorp is the largest primary silver producer in China through the operation of the four silver-lead-zinc mines at the Ying mining camp in Henan province. The company is also applying for a mining permit for its GC silver-lead-zinc mine in Guangdong province to establish the second production base.
