Exploration Update: Noble Closes Acquisition of 50% Interest in Claims in Carnegie, Kidd, Wark and Prosser Townships near Timmins, Ontario

(TheNewswire)

Toronto, Ontario TheNewswire - October 5, 2021 Noble Mineral Exploration Inc. ( "Noble" or the "Company" ) (TSXV:NOB ) ( FRANKFURT:NB7 ) ( OTC:NLPXF) is pleased to announce that it  is in the process of closing a Purchase and Sale Agreement in a 5050 partnership with 11530313 Canada Inc ( " 11530313") to acquire 317 patented and tenure identified mining claims (the "Claims " ) in Carnegie, Kidd, Wark and Prosser Townships totaling about 6,600 hectares formerly held by Explor Resources, a wholly owned subsidiary of Galleon Gold Corp. (" Galleon ")..

Pursuant to the terms of the Agreement, 11530313 has paid $250,000 to Galleon, and Noble is issuing to Galleon 2,000,000 common shares of Noble (the " Noble Shares ").  At closing, Noble and 11530313 will each have a 50% ownership of the Claims. The transaction has received final approval from the TSX Venture Exchange and approval of the Board of Directors of Noble. The Noble Shares will be subject to a four month hold period under applicable Canadian securities laws.

The Claims cover volcanic rocks of the Kidd Munro assemblage that have been periodically intruded by Nickel Copper ("Ni-Cu") bearing mafic to ultramafic intrusions. This assemblage hosts one of the world's largest volcanogenic massive sulphide (" VMS ") deposit at Kidd Creek approximately 3 km to the south and Ni-Cu deposits such as Enid Creek in Loveland Twp., and the Crawford Ni ckel -Co balt -P alladium deposit in Crawford Twp. The Kidd Creek Mine has produced in excess of 150 million tonnes of copper and zinc ore since 1966. The area is thus highly prospective for both Ni-Cu and VMS deposits. Like other prospects in the Timmins region, the area is covered by thick glacial till and conductive clays (up to 50 m) that hampered earlier exploration efforts.

Vance White, CEO and President of Noble commented. "We are very pleased to partner with 11530313 in order to be able to acquire an interest in the Explor lands in Carnegie and Kidd Townships to further consolidate our Project 81 holdings. The proximity of the ground to the prolific Kidd Creek Mine will make it a valuable asset in the extensive stable of Noble properties in the Timmins area.  A thorough review of historic and recent work carried out on these patented and regular claims is taking place to be followed up by additional exploration work.  Further, we welcome Galleon as a significant Noble shareholder."

Top 5 Canadian Cobalt Stocks of 2025

Cobalt prices remained elevated through the year's second quarter, holding strong after a sharp early year rally triggered by the Democratic Republic of Congo’s (DRC) export ban on cobalt hydroxide.

Announced in February, the restriction quickly pushed standard-grade cobalt metal up 45 percent month-on-month to US$15.75 per pound, while cobalt sulfate prices spiked by 74 percent. Prices held steady between US$15 and US$16 per pound through Q2, even as imports into China surged in April, fueled by material from Indonesia.

Yet, as Fastmarkets analyst Olivier Masson noted at the Lithium Supply & Battery Raw Materials event in June, Indonesian output won’t be enough to offset the shortfall from the DRC, which extended its export ban into September.

Cobalt Market Update: Q2 2025 in Review

Cobalt prices remained elevated through Q2 after a dramatic price surge early in the year.

The tailwinds were largely attributed to the Democratic Republic of Congo’s (DRC) export ban on cobalt hydroxide.

First announced in February, the ban sparked a sharp price rally by mid-month, pushing standard-grade cobalt metal as high as US$15.75 per pound and lifting monthly averages by 45 percent, the most bullish move since 2022.

ASX Cobalt Stocks: 4 Biggest Companies of 2025

After spending much of the last two years trending downward, cobalt prices are up in 2025.

About 75 percent of global cobalt output comes from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), and in February the country banned exports of cobalt in an effort to increase the metal's falling price.

By mid-March, cobalt had spiked to US$36,170 per tonne, up more than 65 percent from its record-low price of US$21,550, hit in late January. Heading into H2, cobalt prices have managed to stay above the US$33,000 level.

Cobalt Prices Surge as DRC Extends Export Ban to September

Cobalt prices are surging after the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the world’s largest producer, extended its export ban by three months in a bid to address global oversupply and stabilize plunging prices.

According to the Financial Times, cobalt prices on China’s Wuxi Stainless Steel Exchange rose nearly 10 percent after the DRC government announced the news over the weekend.

The ban — originally set to expire on Monday (June 23) — will now remain in effect until at least September.
