Congo mining ban makes mineral tracking difficult

Mineweb.com reports that a tin and tantalum industry body said that the new  U.S. imposed rules against ‘conflict minerals’ are creating trouble with the mining industry in Congo.

The editorial is quoted as saying:

The U.S. legislation requires Congo and its neighbours to prove that exports have been sourced from conflict-free zones and routes by April next year.
