Platts reported that Chinese traders are not in agreement about the short-term outlook for spot molybdenum oxide prices.
As quoted in the market news:
Global spot moly oxide prices rose to $14.15-14.25/lb when last assessed on April 5 from $13.90-14.10/lb on March 23, according to Platts’ data.
A trader in central Henan province said he was expecting the moly oxide price to touch $14.50/lb in the near term as well, and has not been offering spot cargoes since last week.
However, a second trader in Liaoning province expressed concern that the price may slip below $14/lb again, as it has been stagnating at $14.10-14.30/lb for some time.
