Christie’s Throws a “Curveball” with Flawless Fancy Vivid Blue Diamond: Leibish & Co.

Yaniv Marcus of Leibish & Co. explains what’s so special about the flawless fancy vivid blue diamond being auctioned by Christie’s this week.

It’s a big week for the diamond industry. Why? Tomorrow, Sotheby’s will be holding its Magnificent Jewels and Noble Jewels auction in Geneva, while the day after, rival Christie’s will be holding its Magnificent Jewels sale at the same location.

The former will feature the 100.09-carat Graff Vivid Yellow diamond and the latter will include a 13.22-carat blue diamond that is being hailed as the world’s largest flawless fancy vivid blue diamond.
