Jourdan Completes Phase 2 of its 2022 Drilling Program

JOURDAN RESOURCES INC. (TSXV: JOR; OTCQB: JORF, FRA:2JR1)(“Jourdan” or the “Company“) is pleased to announce that all of its eighteen (18) drill holes of its 2022 winter drilling campaign have intersected the new spodumene-bearing pegmatite swarm on its Vallée property at a previously underexplored eastern extension, which had not been exposed by the North American Lithium mine to the west of Vallée (see Fig. 1).

Jourdan is pleased to advise that phase 2 of the 2022 drilling has been completed. 18 holes were drilled with a total of 3,629 metres of core. This core is now scheduled to be logged, cut, sampled, and then sent to the assay laboratory for the establishment of lithium contents. The results of the drilling and assaying are expected to be utilized in the already initiated initial resource estimation process.

Since restarting drilling in September 2021, Jourdan has drilled twenty-six drillholes; all 26 have intercepted multiple spodumene-bearing pegmatite dykes.

Jourdan’s Executive Chairman, Dr. Andreas Rompel, stated, “We have successfully completed another phase in our endeavour to enlarge the known deposit size on our Vallée project. We are now keenly awaiting the assay results so that we can start the initial resource estimation process. Of the 47 holes drilled since 2011, we have selected the results from 37 to be used in estimating our first initial resource. We are satisfied that this will be sufficient for an inferred resource. Nevertheless, since more funds are available, we may continue to drill later in 2022 to further expand the known deposit size, taking recommendations of our resource estimator to upgrade the anticipated initial resource into account.”

The now completed drill program was conducted by Forage Hébert from Amos, Quebec, under the supervision of Alex Belo, Géologue Inc. (ABG Exploration) of Laval, Quebec.

Rene Bharti, CEO of Jourdan, stated, “We are very excited that the now complete drill program continued to find new spodumene-bearing intersections in new zones. The success of the drill program, coupled with the work underway to build our initial resource estimate in the coming months, is anticipated to bring us one step closer to achieving our goal of becoming Quebec’s next lithium producer.”

The Company’s now completed diamond drilling program of 3,629m was intended to follow up on the results of a bulk sample collected in 2018 and the fence line drilled in 2011 and 2021 along the western side of the Company’s Vallée property, which borders the North American Lithium mine. As anticipated, the drilling program substantially extended the known deposit at the Company’s Vallée property eastwards. Since February 2022, 18 holes of approximately 200m depth have been drilled, each aimed at the pegmatite swarm identified by the trenching of the bulk sample collected on the Vallée property in 2018. The assay results from the bulk sample revealed high Li2O grades (for more information, please see the Company’s press release dated April 29, 2021, which is available under the Company’s SEDAR profile at www.sedar.com), which have encouraged the Company to continue exploration and exploratory drilling along the strike and depth extents of its Vallée property.

Jourdan has significantly enlarged its database by adding more drillholes since the start of the exploration work in 2011. The 2011 drilling comprised 21 drillholes (4,256m), the 2021 campaign consisted of eight drillholes (1,680m) and with the completed 3,629m in 2022, Jourdan has more than 9,490m (47 holes) of core that the Company intends to use in the future to establish an initial mineral resource estimate.

Jourdan Starts Soil Sampling Program at Preissac-La Corne and Baillargé Projects; Jourdan Expects to Announce Initial Mineral Resource Estimate on Vallée in Near Future

Jourdan Resources Inc. (TSXV: JOR; OTCQB: JORF, FRA:2JR1) (" Jourdan " or the " Company ") is pleased to announce that it has commenced a soil sampling program on the majority of its claims located in the long-established lithium mining district of Preissac-La Corne, which is approximately 35km north of Val-d'Or in Quebec, Canada.

The sampling program is being conducted on a 400m x 200m regional grid and represents a pre-cursor to a potential future drilling program. A field crew consisting of geological and exploration technicians has been mobilized to the area and has begun collecting soil samples. Soil samples are being collected using two-person teams equipped with picks and shovels. Samples are being collected from the b-horizon at a depth ranging from 10 cm to 90 cm. Approximately 1,000 sites are scheduled to be sampled. To date, the soil sampling technique, utilizing both in-situ and pXRF analysis directly in the field, is working very efficiently to test these large areas rigorously, rapidly and cost-effectively. Samples are being analyzed on a daily and weekly basis for rubidium (Rb) and tantalum (Ta) by the latest model X-505 portable XRF gun from SciAps. Samples are then sent to Impact Global Solutions (IGS) lab in Delson, Quebec for pathfinder element analysis.

European Metals Receives US$36 Million Grant for Cinovec Lithium-Tin Project

European Metals Holdings (ASX:EMH,LSE:EMH,OTCQX:EMHXY) confirmed the approval of a US$36 million Just Transition Fund (JTF) grant for its Cinovec lithium-tin project on Monday (April 28).

The JTF is run by the European Commission, supporting projects that align with the economic diversification and reconversion of concerned territories such as Bulgaria, the Czech Republic and Hungary.

JTF states on its website that the number of supported projects varies annually, depending on the proposals. The grant also forms part of the European Union’s efforts to transition to clean energy and achieve climate goals.

Cinovec was chosen as it was designated as a strategic project under the Critical Raw Minerals Act in March, underlining its importance in Europe’s journey toward securing stable supply of critical raw minerals. It was also declared a strategic deposit by the Czech government, a designation that accelerates certain permitting processes.

"The grant funding will be utilised to fast track a number of critical path items with regards to the Cinovec Project,” commented European Metals Executive Chair Keith Coughlan in a press release. “This confirmation builds on recent project momentum and is another clear indicator of the support the European Union and the Czech government is willing to provide to assist in getting Cinovec into production in the timeliest manner possible."

Atlantic Appeals for Fiscal Re-evaluation for Ewoyaa Lithium Project

Atlantic Lithium (ASX:A11,LSE:AAL,OTCQX:ALLIF) is appealing to the Ghanaian government to re-evaluate fiscal terms regarding its flagship Ewoyaa lithium project, which is located in the country.

The company’s board of directors acknowledged media reports on the situation in a press release late last week, saying it wants to ensure the successful development of the asset.

Atlantic notes that lithium prices have significantly declined since the mining lease for Ewoyaa was granted in October 2023, and is urging officials to adjust fiscal terms based on current price levels. Lithium prices remained low in 2024, and the downtrend has continued in 2025, with some price segments falling to four year lows.

Adam Webb, head of battery raw materials at Benchmark Mineral Intelligence, said at the Benchmark Summit in March that lithium carbonate prices are expected to remain about where they are, at US$10,400 per metric ton.

“But if we look further ahead, from 2026 onwards, that market is switching into the deficit, albeit quite small to start with, and that will end up being supportive of prices,” he explained at the Toronto-based event.

Australian spot spodumene concentrate prices have also declined.

Starting the year at the US$990 per metric ton level, values contracted through the first quarter of 2025 and are now sitting at the US$765 level, a 23.5 percent drop from January 2024's price of US$1,000.

7 Biggest Lithium-mining Companies in 2025

For a long time, most of the world's lithium was produced by an oligopoly of US-listed producers. However, the sector has transformed significantly in recent years.

Interested investors should cast a wider net to look at global companies — in particular those listed in Australia and China, as companies in both countries have become major players in the industry.

While Australia has long been a top-producing country when it comes to lithium, China has risen quickly to become not only the top lithium processor and refiner, but also a major miner of the commodity. In fact, China was the third largest lithium-producing country in 2024 in terms of mine production, behind Australia and Chile.

Chinese companies are mining in other countries as well, including top producer Australia, where a few are part of major lithium joint ventures. For example, Australia’s largest lithium mine, Greenbushes, is owned and operated by Talison Lithium, which is 51 percent controlled by Tianqi Lithium Energy Australia, a joint venture between China’s Tianqi Lithium (SZSE:002466,HKEX:9696) and Australia’s IGO (ASX:IGO,OTC Pink:IPDGF). The remaining 49 percent stake in Talison is owned by Albemarle (NYSE:ALB). Joint ventures can offer investors different ways to get exposure to mines and jurisdictions.
