Fresnillo’s Silver Output Up 6.3 Percent Over Q2 2012

Mineweb reported that Mexico’s Fresnillo plc (LSE:FRES) saw a 6.3-percent increase in second-quarter attributable silver output over the year-ago period, while half-year attributable silver production rose by 4.5 percent compared to the same time in 2012.

Mineweb reported that Mexico’s Fresnillo plc (LSE:FRES) saw a 6.3-percent increase in second-quarter attributable silver output over the year-ago period, while half-year attributable silver production rose by 4.5 percent compared to the same time in 2012.

As quoted in the market news:

In a news release, Fresnillo CEO Octavio Alvidrez said the company is now on track to meet 2013 production targets of 41 million ounces of silver.

Total silver production including Silverstream was reported at 10.93 million ounces during the second quarter of the year, up 6.3% from 10.276 million ounces in second-quarter 2012. Year-to-date silver production increased 4% this year from 20.98 million ounces in 2012 to 20.07 million ounces.

Excluding the Silverstream, quarterly and year-to-date attributable silver production increased by 9% and 6.9% respectively compared to the same period of 2012.
