Mines Management (TSX:
MGT) Chairman and CEO Glenn Dobbs spoke to Resource Investing News about the Montanore Project near the town of Libby in Montana. Mr. Dobbs says, “Montana has been a state that has been sort of up and down as far as its attractiveness for mining. It has about 120/130 year history of mining in the state. In fact, it’s called a treasure state but they developed some environmental issues there as a result of political activity… some very radical environmental groups back in 1998 and that has tarnished the image of Montana as a mining state… but that tarnish is wearing off, the state is working hard to burnish that reputation.” Mines Management is in the permitting phase of its Montanore silver-copper project located in northwestern Montana.
