Platts reported tin’s recent fundamentals point to higher prices soon, as China wraps up a recent phase of tin destocking.
Platts reported tin’s recent fundamentals point to higher prices soon, as China wraps up a recent phase of tin destocking.
The market news is quoted as saying,
Although tin-producing hub Indonesia exported 7.3% more refined tin year-on-year in August at 8,600 mt, that number was still a nearly 8% drop versus July export levels, the Barclays analysts said in a research note. “With no disruptions to production during the period, lower tin prices during the period were the likely constraint on output levels,” they said.
