Transnet to Rail 70 Million Tons Export Coal in 2011/12

Reuters Africa reported that despite problems on the rail lines, Transnet (PINK:TRNT) still forecasts 70 million tons of coal shipments in this fiscal year.

The market news is quoted as saying:

Coal producers in South Africa, including Anglo American, BHP Billiton, Exxaro, Optimum Coal and Xstrata, have been eager to export more coal to meet fast-rising demand from India and China, but have been limited by infrastructure bottlenecks.
