Lower Coal Consumption Doesn’t Hurt CSX Earnings

Reuters reported that CSX Corp. (NYSE:CSX) produced record earnings even though consumers used less coal.

As quoted in the market news:

Shares of the No. 2 publicly traded railroad company closed up 8.5 percent at $21.92, outperforming the 3.3 percent rise in the Dow Jones Transportation average.
