Continental Coal signs S.Africa deal with EDF Trading

Australia’s Continental Coal (CCC.AX) has signed a $40 million thermal coal offtake deal with EDF Trading (EDF.PA) for production from Continental’s South African mines.

The press release is quoted as saying:

EDF Trading is pre-paying for export coal from Continental’s three mines under development in South Africa. EDF will receive one to two cargoes per month, starting from the second half of 2010.
