Coal Crucial Until 2050: Commissioner

Sydney Morning Herald reported that Australia’s climate commissioner says coal will be a crucial commodity for decades to come.

The market news is quoted as saying:

But [the commissioner] also insisted markets should drive investments in transitional fuels such as gas and nuclear power, along with renewables, and that Australia couldn’t shirk its responsibility to reduce dangerous pollution.
