Australia rejects India’s request for uranium sale

The Times of India reports that India’s request for uranium sale is rejected by Australia.

The market news is quoted as saying:

“Regarding the export of uranium to India, the policy of the Australian government is clear — we will only supply uranium to countries that are signatories to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and have signed a bilateral pact with Australia,” an Australian energy minister Martin Ferguson said.
