Why Has Karnataka Not Resumed Iron Ore Exports?

Reuters India reports Karnataka has not issued permits to export iron ore more than two months after a ban on shipments on the metal was lifted.

The market news is quoted as saying,

But the state, which accounts for about a quarter of the country’s annual iron ore exports of around 100 million tonnes, has yet to allow any export, raising concern among miners there. India is the world’s No. 3 iron ore exporter.
