Khiron Life Sciences Corp. (TSXV:KHRN,OTCQB:KHRNF,FWB:A2JMZC) President Chris Naprawa was interviewed on the GritCast Podcast where he talked about the company and its notable directors.
Khiron Life Sciences Corp. (TSXV:KHRN,OTCQB:KHRNF,FWB:A2JMZC) President Chris Naprawa was interviewed on the GritCast Podcast where he talked about the company and its notable directors. Khiron is a vertically-integrated cannabis company that is focused on serving the 620 million people that live in Latin America. The company has operations in Colombia, Uruguay and Chile and has a presence in Peru and Mexico.
“Within the last year, we did our RTO on May 24, 2018. At that time we had 25 or 30 employees, we’re over 250 now. We’ve entered five more countries, made three acquisitions and done three financings,” said Naprawa. “We’ve grown a lot. The story of Khiron is like the story of cannabis. As people start to think about Colombia, it’s all about the cultivation, but now people are starting to focus on brands, sales, distribution and consumers, which is where we’ve been from day one.”
Naprawa touched on the company’s focus in penetrating the European market, now that they have a strong foothold in the Latin American market. He pointed out that Khiron may also enter the North American market as well and has made strides in that direction with the company’s joint venture agreement with Dixie Brands. The joint venture agreement facilitates Khiron’s entry into the North American market. Khiron will be bringing Dixie Brands down into the Mexican market.
Naprawa also talked about two notable directors on Khiron’s board fo directors: former-Mexican president Vicente Fox and retail tycoon Joe Mimran. Mimran is responsible for launching brands live Joe Fresh and Club Monaco, while Vincente has always been an advocate for cannabis legalization in Mexico and Latin America. Naprawa believes that both individuals provide a wealth of experience for the company to draw from in terms of brand development and regulations.
