Auroch: Drilling Intersects Zinc-Lead at Bonaventura

Auroch reported that drilling at the Grainger zinc prospect intersected significant vein sets of zinc-lead mineralization in fresh rock at shallow depth.
Auroch Minerals (ASX:AOU) has announced it has successfully completed its maiden drilling programme at its Bonaventura project in South Australia, intercepting significant base-metal mineralization at its Dewrang and Grainger prospects.
As highlighted in the press release:
- Drilling at the Grainger zinc prospect (Bonaventura project) intersected significant vein sets of zinc-lead mineralization in fresh rock at shallow depth, best intercepts include: 6.0m at 1.53 percent zinc and 0.21 percent lead from 28.3m, including 1.0m at 4.50 percent zinc and 0.34 percent lead from 33.3m (BVDD-012) and 7.0m at 1.65 percent zinc and 0.26 percent lead from 64.2m, including 1.0m at 4.14 percent zinc and 0.66 percent lead from 70.2m (BVDD-012)
- Further drilling at the Dewrang prospect (Bonaventura project) intersected significant base-metals mineralization coincident to a previously defined 1.5km geophysical IP anomaly.
CEO of Auroch, Aidan Platel said:
“Drilling at Dewrang demonstrated an extremely good correlation between mineralized intervals of base-metals and the 1.5km chargeability anomaly defined by our June IP survey, suggesting we are dealing with a large mineralized system. At Grainger the drilling intersected several sets of lead and zinc-bearing veins at shallow depths near historic artisanal workings; the mineralization is clearly structurally-controlled and remains open at depth. The company will continue to focus its exploration activities, leveraging all information acquired from the maiden drilling to vector in on possible higher-grade zones.”
