Pacific Empire Announces Appointment of Qualified Person and Resignation of Officer

 Pacific Empire Minerals Corp. (TSXV: PEMC) is pleased to announce the appointment of George Cavey P.Geo, as a Qualified Person ("QP") within the meaning of National Instrument 43-101 - Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects ("NI 43-101"). The Company also announces the resignation of Mr. Rory Ritchie as Pacific Empire's Vice President of Exploration and Director, effective immediately.

Harmony Gold to Acquire MAC Copper in US$1.03 Billion Deal

Harmony Gold Mining Company's (NYSE:HMY,JSE:HAR) wholly owned Australian subsidiary, Harmony Gold (Australia), has entered into a binding agreement to acquire MAC Copper (NYSE:MTAL,ASX:MAC).

Ivanhoe, Zijin Halt Operations at Kakula Copper Mine in DRC
