Basin Energy Appoints Highly Experienced Uranium Exploration Manager

Key Highlights

• Mrs Odile Maufrais appointed as exploration manager for Basin Energy, contributing significant experience in uranium exploration within the Athabasca Basin
• Formerly held various roles with ORANO for 12 years, one of the world’s largest global uranium producers

Critically, Odile has significant Athabasca Basin specific experience, being involved on over 15 greenfield and brownfield uranium exploration projects located throughout the Basin. Her most recent roles for ORANO comprised leading various uranium exploration campaigns and being an active member of the ORANO research and development team, which involved the trialing and streamlining cost effective drilling techniques on Athabasca Basin uranium projects. She also played a key role in the update of the National Instrument 43-101 compliant mineral resource estimate for the Midwest Main and Midwest A deposits. Mrs. Maufrais holds a Master of Science from Montpellier II University, France.

Mrs. Maufrais will initially work directly with the Company’s joint venture partner, CanAlaska, to provide technical direction and operational oversight of all facets of exploration on the Geikie, North Millennium and Marshall projects.

In addition to this, Odile’s broad knowledge of global uranium systems will be an asset as the Company continues to grow.

The timing of her appointment is ideal with exploration work now well underway at Geikie as the Company prepares for its Maiden drill campaign in Q1 2023.”
