American West Metals’ Copper Hits May Signal Belt-Scale Resource at Storm Project in Canada

American West Metals (ASX:AW1) continues its winning streak with an 18-meter intercept of visual copper sulphides at its Storm project in Canada, according to an article published by The West Australian.

The company’s outstanding drilling success extended the prospective copper horizon to a further 2 kilometres, also signifying a potential major belt-scale sediment-hosted copper system, the article said.

The first hole delivered 45.5 metres of visual sulphides and the second hole hit another 37 metres of visual breccia-style copper sulphide from 333 metres leading to the discovery of a near-surface copper zone called ‘Thunder.’ The fourth diamond drill hole, ST23-04, intersected a thick 18.5-metre zone of visual copper sulphide.

American West Metals will continue drilling at the Storm project with assay results pending and expected within the next two weeks.
