Overview

The Abitibi Greenstone Belt, which spans the border between Quebec and Ontario, Canada, is the world’s largest mineral-rich greenstone geological belt, hosting many major gold and base metal deposits. The prolific region contains a gold-mining history unsurpassed by most gold districts. It has yielded a spectacular 180 million ounces of gold since the discovery of its first mining camps in the early 1900s.

The Abitibi combines the perfect storm of government stability and high-grade mineralization discovery potential. One company looking to make the next big discovery is Xander Resources (TSXV:XND, OTCQB:XNDRF, FWB:1XI), a junior exploration company focused on developing highly prospective gold properties within Canada. The company currently has three projects located across three gold camps on the Abitibi Greenstone Belt.

Project location

Quebec is a prolific mining jurisdiction with a tier one mining status. The jurisdiction hosts high-grade mineralization and numerous precious metal occurrences. Additionally, the government-supported mining environment, rich resource networks and skilled local workforces give Xander Resources exceptional positioning in its mining development and exploration.

Xander Resources has the potential to mimic the discovery potential of the assets of its neighboring companies, including Monarch Mining (TSX:GBAR) and Probe Metals (TSXV:PRB), which in October 2020 announced drill results of 5.9 g/t gold over 9.2 meters and 94.1 g/t gold over 0.6 meters.

Xander Resources is currently advancing its Timmins Nickel project and Val-d’Or - Senneville project. The Timmins mining camp is one of the most highly prolific mining districts in the world and has been in production for over 100 years. Established in 1923 as a gold rush town, the Val-d’Or is still producing gold, copper, lead, lithium and zinc to this day.

Timmins Nickel Project and Val-d'Or - Sennevilee Project

In November 2022, Xander Resources commenced its maiden drill program at the Timmins Nickel Project focused on trends identified by earlier airborne electromagnetic surveys, particularly those near Canada Nickel’s (TSXV:CNC) recently identified Reid Discovery which, through earlier drilling, has already been tested to contain a mineralized footprint of 90 percent.

In October 2022, Xander Resources entered into an option agreement to acquire 100 separate mineral claim blocks, comprising over 21 square kilometres located contiguous to the west of the company’s existing Timmins North claims. With the acquisition of these claims, the company's Timmins North Block now consists of 343 claims that are not only near Canada Nickel Company's (CNC) Crawford Project but also adjacent to its recent Reid Discovery.

Xander Resources’ management team comprises world-class experts in finance, geology and mineral exploration. The company’s solid leadership roster primes it for significant mining success and economic prosperity.

Key Projects

Timmins Nickel Project

Timmins Nickel Project

Xander Resources owns two separate properties that make up the Timmins-Nickel Claim Group totalling 393 claims – with 343 claims to the west of Canada Nickel’s Crawford Main Resource, and 50 claims in the south, contiguous to Canada Nickel’s MacDiarmid Block.

Project Highlights:

  • The Timmins Nickel project has 393 claims totalling approximately 75 square kilometres in a well-established camp with infrastructure and a long history of mining
  • The North Block is composed of 343 claims located approximately 21 kilometres west of Canada Nickel Company’s (CNC’s) Crawford Project and adjacent to the Reid Discovery
  • The “South Block” consists of 50 claims contiguous to Canada Nickel’s MacDiarmid Project
  • Southwest of Kingsmill, Mahaffy-Aubin & Nesbitt North, projects actively being explored by CNC in 2021
  • CNC recently acquired a further 13 additional target properties within a 95 kilometre radius of Crawford and is actively seeking out additional targets

Val-d’Or Gold Camp - Senneville

Val-d\u2019Or Gold Camp - Senneville

The Val-d’Or Gold Camp was established in 1923 as a gold rush town where gold, copper, zinc, lead and lithium are still extracted to this day. Xander Resources currently has three separate properties – Senneville South, Senneville West and Senneville East – that make up the Senneville Claim Group in the Val-d’Or gold camp. To the north, the Senneville is contiguous to Monarch Mining (TSXV:GBAR), and to the south, it is contiguous to Probe Metals’ project where drilling results of 5.9 g/t gold over 9.2 metres were reported.

Project Highlights:

  • Composed of 171 claims totalling over 102 square kilometres.
  • Contiguous to Monarch Mining and Probe Metals and North of Eldorado Gold (formerly QMC).
  • 2012 drill program identified 9.79 g/t gold and 11.03 g/t gold over 1.0 metres and the 2021 drill program identified 18.15g/t gold over 0.85 metres.

Fenelon Gold Camp - Blue Ribbon

The Blue Ribbon property comprises 48 claims that cover approximately 23 square kilometers and is the only property in the camp with gold discovered at surface. Ideal positioning places the asset 11 kilometers southwest of Wallbridge Mining’ (TSX:WM) Fenelon project, which reported a recent mineral resource estimate of 543,700 indicated ounces of gold. Additionally, the property is contiguous to Probe Metals, Midland Exploration and Great Thunder Gold, and nearby Goldseek Resources.
