Pomme Project Drilling Identifies New Zones of Rare Earth and Niobium Mineralisation

MTM Critical Metals Limited (ASX:MTM) (MTM or the Company) has intercepted further significant TREO mineralisation up to 1.3% TREO from diamond drilling at its Pomme REE-Nb Project in Québec.

Highlights:

  • New diamond drill holes assay results up to 1.3% (13,000ppm) total rare earth oxides (TREO) at the Pomme Project in Québec, Canada.
  • Rare earth element (REE) and niobium (Nb) mineralisation again confirmed over broad intervals in previously untested parts of the carbonatite.
  • Narrow zones of higher-grade mineralisation >1% (10,000ppm) TREO were intersected.
  • Hole POM-23-08 intersected 149.5m @ 0.32% TREO & 0.05% Nb2O5 (from 122m).
  • Best interval is 1.5m @ 1.31% TREO & 0.06% Nb2O5.
  • Assays continue to show that a significant proportion of the TREO grade is high value magnet REE mineralisation - neodymium (Nd) and praseodymium (Pr).
MTM Managing Director, Mr Lachlan Reynolds said the latest three holes were completed in areas not previously tested with any drilling.

“These new assay results provide us with further information of the geology and distribution of rare earth and niobium mineralisation within the Pomme carbonatite complex.” Mr Reynolds said.

“The assays follow encouraging results previously from the first five holes1 and we are still eagerly awaiting assays for the remaining five holes from the 13-hole campaign completed at Pomme.

“As results are received, our technical team will be putting together a 3-dimensional model of the Pomme carbonatite and evaluating the most prospective part of the target for coherent zones of high- grade mineralisation. These areas will be prioritised for further drilling follow-up,” he said.

The Pomme Project is located adjacent to the world-class Montviel REE-Nb deposit (owned by Geomega Resources Inc), that has a defined total indicated and inferred resource of 266 Mt @ 1.45% TREO & 0.14% Nb2O5.

Pomme is a carbonatite intrusion with exceptional mineralised drilling intersection results from recent drilling, showing enrichment in REE and niobium mineralisation over a broad area.

MTM has entered into a binding option agreement with Geomega Resources to acquire a 100% interest in the Pomme claims.

Assay Results

Drill hole POM-23-06

Drill hole POM-23-06 was collared in the southeast quadrant of the Pomme carbonatite complex to test a geochemical anomaly identified by previous fieldwork. The hole intersected interlayered carbonatite units and metasedimentary rocks along the margin of the Pomme carbonatite complex (Figure 1). Sporadic low-grade mineralisation was intersected to 225m depth (EOH) and is open at depth. The best intersection in the hole was 1.5m @ 0.74% TREO & 0.03% Nb2O5 from 76m down hole. Full details of the relevant intersections are detailed in Appendix II.
