    New Century: First Zinc Concentrates Stockpiled for Export at Karumba

    The stockpiling of concentrate represents the first utilization of the Karumba port facility for zinc production since the Century Zinc mine was put on care and maintenance in Q1 2016.

    New Century Resources (ASX:NCZ) has announced the initiation of zinc concentrate stockpiling in the company’s concentrate storage shed at the Karumba port on the Gulf of Carpentaria.

    According to the company, the stockpiling of concentrate represents the first utilization of the Karumba port facility for zinc production since the Century Zinc mine was put on care and maintenance in Q1 2016.


    As highlighted in the press release:

    • Successful zinc concentrate pumping through the entire 304km slurry pipeline
    • First concentrate received, dewatered and stockpiled at the Karumba port facility
    • First revenue from concentrate sales in September 2018
    • New Century remains on track for first shipment of concentrate in Q4 2018
