Reuters reported that over $6.7 million will be paid for cleanup of pollution from the former Bunker Hill Mining and Metallurgical Complex zinc mining area in Idaho.

Reuters reported that over $6.7 million will be paid by a BP affiliate company for cleanup of pollution from the former Bunker Hill Mining and Metallurgical Complex zinc mining area in Idaho.

The market news is quoted as saying:

Bunker Hill’s smelter releases, waste piles and processing caused water, air and soil contamination by such toxic metals as lead and arsenic, according to the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality.
