Italy 2011 Coal Imports Seen Up 7 Percent

Reuters reported that steel maker demand should prompt a 7% increase in coal imports to Italy.

As quoted in the market news:

Future growth of coal imports into Italy is linked to the country’s rejection of nuclear energy and to new projects in power generation to use “clean coal” technology with lower emissions of CO2 and other gases.
