Indian Utilities’ May Coal Imports Climb 43%, India Coal Says

Bloomberg reported that coal imports to India for electricity suppliers were up 43% in May.

The market news is quoted as saying:

The Central Electricity Authority, a supervisory body, has set a target of 35 million tons of imported power-plant coal for the year ending March 2012.
