The Star Pheonix reported that a new report from the Community Vitality Montoring Partnership Process (CVMPP), which examines the socio-economic effects of uranium mining in Saskatchewan, suggests that more needs to be done to support education and training for local residents to participate in the industry.

As quoted in the market report:

All entry-level positions are filled by locals but the skilled and technical positions need more local employees, provided there is more training opportunities and supporting education, the report said.
