Victory's Exploration Team Encouraged by VRPDH-1 Claystone Intercept Appearance and Depth at Smokey Lithium, Nevada
Victory Battery Metals (CSE:VR)(FWB:R61)(OTC PINK:VRCFF) ("Victory" or the "Company") is excited to announce that the Company's exploration team has completed its first drill hole to a depth of 540 feet, encountering 259 feet of uninterrupted claystone beginning at 268 feet and extending to 527 feet. The team is currently in the midst of VRPDH-2 of its high-quality drill targets, having assembled and sent cores from VRPDH-1 for assay.
- VRPDH-1 has successfully completed, intersecting claystone at 268 feet through to 527 feet, serving to verify deposit depth beyond where Hole-09 ended in strong lithium mineralization at 417 feet during the 2022 drill program
- Drill hole locations have been selected to extend strong lithium mineralization, intersected on initial drill program in 2022 in Hole-09 within the area of interest outlined in detail in the Company's press release dated 20 October 2022
- The project area and surrounding lands show strong lithium mineralization with the Esmeralda Formation at surface. When combined with the highly encouraging results from Victory's first round drilling (completed in 2022) the project area is highly prospective"
Our team was very encouraged by the positive lithological correlation observed in this new VRPDH-1, which is comparing favourably to Hole-09 from our previous drill program," said Mr. Mark Ireton, Victory President, and CEO. "Prior to lab results, we are seeing indications that instill confidence in this programs goal to correlate the lithology of VRPDH-1 new hole to the previous Hole-09, and, significantly, we have been able to test to the bottom of the claystone, whereas 2022"s Hole-09 ended in significant claystone hosted lithium mineralization at 417 feet."
The claystones intersected below gravel cover in VRPDH-1 are dominantly grey to dark grey in color and contain abundant fine-grained calcite as noted by using hydrochloric acid during the logging process. It is suspected that the claystone has a high content of weathered volcanic ash and that the firm character of this formation is due to the presence of calcite cement interstitial to the clay size grains. (Figure 1)
Figure 1
Combining results from field mapping, surface sampling, drilling and Tromino passive seismic studies, the Company has developed proprietary maps showing highly detailed visual cross sections to understand the faulting that would bound the deposit's edges. Victory's 3-hole drill program focuses on a 2-3 km sq. area with lowered risk, having a high likelihood to intersect lithium rich clays via drilling, and may indicate maiden resource potential.
About Smokey Lithium, Nevada
Victory's Smokey Lithium project is a clay lithium property that lies approximately 20 miles north of Clayton Valley, to the west of American Lithium's flagship lithium project. Smokey Lithium is located northwest of Cypress' Clayton Valley Lithium Project and to the southwest of American Lithium Corporation's Tonopah Lithium Claims Property in southwest Nevada. Esmeralda County Nevada is a prolific region for lithium clay deposits, (Noram, Cypress, American Lithium, Spearmint, Enertopia, and Jindalee).

Victory Battery Metals
Overview
Victory Battery Metals (CSE:VR,FWB:VR61,OTCPINK:VRCFF) is a Vancouver-based junior mining and exploration company operating primarily out of North America. The company recently underwent restructuring and rebranding to pivot to battery metals, recognizing the significant opportunity brought about by the global efforts toward electrification and decarbonization.
As the push for clean energy and the global transition to net-zero continue to ramp up, lithium has never been more important. The burgeoning electric vehicle market exemplifies this, with sales of electric cars topping 6.6 million in 2021 and over 10 million in 2022. On the plus side, this explosive market growth will, according to the International Energy Agency, eliminate the need for roughly 5 million barrels of oil per year by 2030.
Victory’s flagship project, Smokey Lithium, has the distinction of being situated very close to the only lithium-producing silver mine in North America. In addition to Smokey Lithium, Victory maintains five other projects: Stingray Lithium Array in James Bay, Quebec; Georgia Lake Lithium property, Ontario; Tahlo Lake, in the Babine Copper-Gold Porphyry District, British Columbia; Saguenay Nickel Project, Quebec; and Black Diablo Copper and Manganese in Nevada.
These projects’ strategic locations in mining-friendly and infrastructure-ready jurisdictions position Victory to not only explore new sources of critical battery metals required to meet the growing demand, but also help disrupt the currently unbalanced supply chain, with China dominating roughly 70 percent of global lithium production despite the fact it only supplies 13 percent of the world's lithium.
Given China's questionable mining practices and propensity for leveraging the global supply chain as a political weapon, the status quo is far from ideal. Unsurprisingly, many countries — Canada and the United States among them — are investing heavily into establishing a domestic lithium supply chain. Victory Battery Metals is ideally positioned to take advantage of these investment efforts.
Company Highlights
- Recently completed a successful private placement for $2 million, and holds several million dollars in treasury.
- Smokey Lithium flagship project operates out of Nevada, one of the most mining-friendly jurisdictions in North America.
- Victory's primary focus is on bridging the considerable gap between supply and demand, and is benefitting considerably from federal mandates around lithium and critical battery metals production in both Canada and the United States.
- Work programs are planned for all major assets within the next twelve months.
- Maintains an incredibly diverse mining portfolio primarily geared towards the needs of the growing electric vehicle market. However, its assets also include precious metals such as gold and silver.
- Victory is actively working to identify opportunities in regions conducive to mining and geographic locations suited to year-round exploration and development.

YELLOW CHIEF URANIUM PROPERTY - Located in mining-friendly Juab County in western Utah, the Yellow Chief property comprises 28 claims covering 130 hectares. Juab county is an active exploration and mining area, with beryllium produced by Materion from the Spor Mountain mine, gold exploration and production at the Tintic mine by Osisko Development Corp, and drilling and exploration at the Tintic project by Ivanhoe Electric (Utah Geological Survey Circular 134, 37 pages).
The property covers the northern portion of the past producing open pit, and prospective volcanic tuff units trending to the northeast of the pit. The Yellow Chief Mine was developed from 1959 to 1962 as an open pit,
" …..which reached horizontal dimensions of 1,200 by 300-500 feet (366 m by 91-152 m) and a depth of 100-150 feet (30-46 m). Approximately 100,000 tons (90,700 metric tons) of 0.20-0.23 percent uranium ore was produced from the deposit (Bowyer, 1963)." * |
* As reported in; (URANIUM MINERALIZATION IN FLUORINE-ENRICHED VOLCANIC ROCKS, Burt, D. M. et. Al, 1980, prepared for the U. S. Department of Energy. Subcontract No. 79-270-E)
"Uranium mineralization at the Yellow Chief mine occurs as lenses of disseminated secondary uranium minerals (mostly beta-uranophane) in a 100-to 120-foot (30-37 m) thick sequence of conglomerate and tuffaceous sandstone that directly underlies the "beryllium tuff member" of the Spor Mountain Formation." ** |
** As reported in; (URANIUM POTENTIAL IN UTAH, Gloyn, R. W. and Krahulec, K, 2004, UTAH GEOLOGICAL SURVEY)
The Yellow Chief uranium mine is only 6 kilometers east of Materion Corp.'s open pit operations for beryllium (Be) ore. Beryllium is a high-value, essential, light metal with wide applications in the aerospace, computer, telecommunications, electronics, medical, satellite and defence sectors. The Spor Mountain operations are the largest source of beryllium in the United States, accounting for approximately 63 per cent of the world's annual production in 2020.
Little information is available regarding previous exploration programs in the area. The Company will conduct mapping and sampling of the open pit sites, with a focus on planning a drill program to test for the favorable uranium (+/- Be) units, North and Northeast of a mapped East to North-East trending fault mapped in the pit.
PK Property - The PK property covers 1 claim comprising 1090.0 hectares located northeast of the Athabasca Basin, within the Charlebois-Higginson uranium district. Also known as the "Pinkham East" property, the claims were last explored in the late 1970's. Assessment reports indicate the PK property high (to 100 times background) radioactivity in pegmatite. Radioactivity is reported to be associated with a coarse-grained, off-white leucocratic pegmatite. This rock contains white feldspar and local large biotite books. The pegmatite may extend along strike more than 1700 m. Only limited sampling (3 samples) was completed with uranium values of up to 0.035% U3O8.
Fine-grained, reddish brown sandstone boulders cover the grid area of the PK property with boulders reported up 1 metre in diameter and friable, that are unlikely to have survive glacial ice transport over large distances. It was interpreted that they may be sourced from an outlier of the Athabasca Formation. If found insitu, this would be the furthest north occurrence of Athabasca Formation and the unconformity would be an attractive target for uranium mineralization.
Mozzie Halo East and Mozzie Halo West Properties - This package comprises three blocks of claims, located around the core Mozzie East and West Properties. The Mozzie East and West Properties are held by other land owners. Combined the Company's three properties total 445 hectares with two blocks adjacent to the Mozzie West property, and one claim adjacent to the Mozzie East property. The Mozzie West and East properties were previously held by Pegasus Resources Ltd. (refer to Pegasus Press Release, October 20, 2021):
"The Mozzie Lake property consists of two claim blocks that are situated approximately 25 and 40 km northeast of the edge of the Athabasca basin. It is located within the Charlebois-Higgingson Lake uranium district. Highlights: - Historical resource estimate at the 20A zone with 204,200 tons at 0.119 per cent triuranium octoxidem at an average width of 15.8 feet (4.8 metres), containing 535,718 pounds of uranium*; |
The mineralization is hosted within pegmatite intrusions. The pegmatite deposits of the Charlebois-Higgingson Lake uranium district have remained largely dormant since it was first explored in the 1940s to 1960s era. There are historical references to rare-earth-element-(REE)-bearing minerals in the region, including at the Pinkham Lake prospects on the Mozzie Lake property. The company believes that a re-evaluation of the district with respect to REE mineralization should be conducted to potentially bolster the uranium potential of the project(s). |
*The historical resource estimate was completed by Trigg, Woollett & Associates Ltd. on behalf of King Resources Company in 1968 (Sask. assessment report 74P07-0043). The historical mineral resource estimates listed above either use categories that are not compliant with National Instrument 43-101 - Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects ("NI 43-101") and cannot be compared to NI 43-101 categories, or are not current estimates as prescribed by NI 43-101, and therefore should not be relied upon. A qualified person has not done sufficient work to classify the estimates as current resources and Pegasus is not treating the estimates as a current resource estimate." |
Mr. Mark Ireton, Victory President and CEO noted "Victory is pleased to advise having enhanced the property portfolio with the addition of these uranium properties bringing total uranium holdings to 12,815 Ha including Sept Ilse Uranium, Quebec with 9,042 Ha, 130 Ha in Juab County, Utah and 3,643 Ha in Saskatchewan. Uranium focus comes with geographic diversity and encouraging property advancement potential given results, features and findings from past work programs on all properties prior to their acquisition by Victory."
Scientific and technical information contained in this press release was reviewed and approved by Mr. Helgi Sigurgeirson (P.Geo. with EGBC) and a "qualified person" under NI 43-101 and Consultant to Victory Battery Metals Corp.

Altech Batteries Ltd Update on CERENERGY ABS60 Battery-pack Prototypes
Highlights
- Prototype production is progressing well
- All CERENERGY(R) cells for the first 60 KWh Prototype completed
- Cell contacting system manufacturing finished and delivered
- Improved cell electrode design showing excellent results
- Cell quality tests by Fraunhofer delivering better than expected capacity
- Welding of cells to cell contacting system underway
- Completed modules will be mounted into ABS60 BatteryPack next week
To validate a homogeneous cathode material distribution, all cells were cycled through several testing stations at Fraunhofer IKTS Hermsdorf and Arnstadt.
IMPROVED CELL ELECTRODE DESIGN
During the fabrication of the two 60kWh CERENERGY(R) ABS60 BatteryPack prototypes, the Altech and Fraunhofer team made several design improvements to the cell's positive probe. These enhancements aimed to boost the cell's energy capacity and reduce the nickel content. The "V2" design of the positive probe allows for slightly faster charging and discharging while lowering the unit costs of the battery. Testing revealed that most cells had higher-than-expected energy capacities, an outstanding result that strongly supports the chosen electrode design. With all cells manufactured according to the series design and optimized processes, the best cells to date have been completed. The table below demonstrates that all the cells are meeting the expected specifications.
CELL CONTACTING SYSTEM COMPLETED
The Cell Contacting System (CCS) has undergone stringent testing and has now been completed and delivered by key supplier Hofer AG. The CCS was delivered to Fraunhofer IKTS in Dresden, where all parts of the modules will be collected to assemble each of the five modules. Each module contains 48 cells, that are currently being welded to the CCS by an external service provider.
After welding is completed, the ABS60 BatteryPack with its 60 kWh capacity can be completely assembled.
MODULE WELDING TRIALS
To guarantee the most time-efficient welding, a unique tool was designed and built at Xenon, which is responsible for welding and quality control across the 120 MWh battery plant. After completing the welding tool, it was shipped to an external laboratory, accompanied by a test module and several trial cells. The aim was to determine the best working parameters and to proof the handling of certain parts of the module.
The trials were successfully finished.
CELL MANUFACTURING PROGRESSING WELL
All 240 cells for the first ABS60 BatteryPack Prototype have been assembled and initialised at Fraunhofer IKTS, Hermsdorf. To validate a homogeneous cathode material distribution, all cells were cycled through several testing stations at Fraunhofer IKTS Hermsdorf and Arnstadt.
INTERIM CELL TESTING
At Fraunhofer IKTS in Hermsdorf, all cells were scanned using a unique X-ray microtomography device that enables the ability to look inside cells after they are hermetically closed. This is required to ensure the most homogeneous material distribution inside the cells as well as the best possible alignment of cell components e.g. electrode. The results have been excellent to date. Another quality assurance procedure involved cycling cells to ensure the electrical requirements and parameters are operating as designed.
MODULE WELDING AND BATTERYPACK ASSEMBLY
After every cell passed all quality checks, the modules containing the cells were shipped to the laboratory for welding onto the CCS. By using the predetermined parameters for welding, all modules have been successfully welded. After completion, the modules will be shipped to Fraunhofer IKTS, Dresden, where all five modules will then be mounted into the ABS60 BatteryPack and the first Prototype will be completed.
This will enable testing and demonstration to potential customers, to prove individual use cases for each customer.
ABOUT THE ABS60 - BATTERYPACK
The 60kWh Altech Battery Pack consists of five 12kWh modules with 48 cells each, mounted on top of each other and sealed in a thermal isolated stainless steel hood housing. The Battery management system is mounted at the base. To maintain thermal self-sufficiency, an insulation hood was designed, where the required heat of the system can be maintained inside the BatteryPack as long as possible, although the outer surface only has ambient temperature. This was achieved by using vacuum insulation. The base of each module is designed to accommodate folklift transport for easy mounting into the GridPack.
Commenting on the progress, MD and CEO Iggy Tan stated "Altech's team in Germany, together with its joint venture partner Fraunhofer, and with the assistance of key suppliers, have made excellent progress on the fabrication of two 60kWh CERENERGY(R) ABS60 BatteryPack prototypes. All components for the first BatteryPack have now been fabricated. Altech is now completing the welding of the cells to the Cell Contacting System, after which the five completed battery modules will be delivered to Fraunhofer IKTS in Dresden, where all five modules will be mounted into the ABS60 BatteryPack and the first ABS60 Prototype will be completed. The BatteryPack will then be available for testing and demonstration to potential customers, thereby assisting Altech in securing offtake and finance for the 120MWh CERENERGY(R) battery plant to be constructed on Altech's land in Germany".

Nevada Sunrise Initiates Data Review to Develop New Drill Targets at the Coronado Copper Project, Nevada
Nevada Sunrise Metals Corporation (TSXV: NEV) (OTCBB: NVSGF) ("Nevada Sunrise" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that the Company has initiated a geological and geophysical data review on its Coronado Copper Project (" Coronado ", or the " Project ") located in Pershing County, Nevada approximately 48 kilometers (30 miles) southeast of Winnemucca . The purpose of the Coronado data review is to identify new, shallow drill targets in an area of the Project where historical drilling in 1976 identified high-grade copper mineralization.
Highlights of the Coronado Copper Project
- Coronado is located in an underexplored region that hosts a past-producing volcanogenic massive sulphide ("VMS") deposit known as Big Mike, where high-grade copper was mined in the early 1970s (see Figure 1 below: photo of Big Mike mineralization in a grab sample collected by the Company in 2018);
- VMS deposits such as Big Mike are often found in "chains" or "clusters" along zones of structural weakness, where such deposits may be buried under overburden and exhibit no surface exposure – only one VMS deposit has been discovered to date in the Project area;
- Nevada Sunrise plans to explore a new target area in the northern part of Coronado known as the Red Metal prospect, where Utah International intersected shallow, high-grade copper mineralization in 1976 drill hole C-1, which reportedly returned 1.84% copper over 10.98 metres (36 feet) from 39.9 metres (131 feet) to 50.9 metres (167 feet) 1 ;
- The Company is commissioning a new desktop study of its Coronado 2018 Versatile Time Domain Electromagnetic ("VTEM TM ") data using a computer modeling process to determine the Airborne Inductive Induced Polarization ("AIIP") effect, which can measure chargeability of potential sulphide minerals and add to the interpretation of conventional airborne electromagnetic ("EM") data. Other geophysical anomalies were observed in the 2018 airborne survey data, which Nevada Sunrise plans to investigate on the ground.

2024 Coronado Exploration Plans
Nevada Sunrise plans to carry out an AIIP effect study by Geotech Ltd. ("Geotech") on the 2018 Coronado VTEM TM airborne survey data. AIIP chargeability mapping opens new avenues in mineral exploration for airborne time domain electromagnetic systems in the search for sulphides, especially in terrain with substantial overburden that can mask conventional electromagnetic responses. Other geophysical anomalies observed in the Company's 2018 airborne data are being reviewed, including the "Mikey" target, located approximately 600 metres (2,000 feet) southeast of the historic Big Mike open pit mine.
Geotech also offers Structural Complexity ("SC") analysis of historical VTEM TM data using a method introduced by Kovesi (1997). SC is an important exploration parameter for structurally-controlled mineral deposits (Groves et al., 2018). Linear structures such as magnetic ridges from positive magnetic linear anomalies can be mapped and interpreted using the Centre for Exploration Targeting (University of Western Australia grid analysis module), a process which could provide valuable insight in the structural complexity at Coronado .
Nevada Sunrise plans to carry out a prospecting and geological mapping and sampling survey over significant geophysical anomalies identified from the AIIP modelling program. Any identified geophysical anomalies will be gridded and sampled with a soil gas hydrocarbon ("SGH") survey, an economical soil sampling method developed by Activation Laboratories of Ancaster, ON , Canada , which is known to detect subtle geochemical anomalies over buried mineral deposits. In conjunction with newly-acquired geophysical data, SGH could assist in the development of new drill targets in Coronado's underexplored terrain.
The Company holds an active drill permit for Coronado , which is good until October 2024 .
About Coronado
Coronado currently consists of 152 unpatented claims totaling approximately 3,040 acres (1,230 hectares) located over an interpreted trend adjacent to the historic Big Mike copper mine that lies within the Middle Pennsylvanian to Late Permian-age Havallah volcanic-sedimentary sequence. The Company's land position controls an important seven mile-long (11.3 kilometres) regional trend along which high-priority airborne VTEM TM anomalies have been identified within the Early Pennsylvanian–early Late Permian Pumpernickel Formation of the Havallah sequence.
In 1970, Ranchers Exploration and Development Company ("Ranchers") developed the high-grade portion of Big Mike and produced approximately 25 million pounds of copper in 100,000 tons of ore grading 10.5% copper, which was shipped directly to smelters in West Germany and Japan . Heap leaching of lower-grade disseminated copper ore was also carried out by Ranchers; approximately 300,000 tons of mineralized rock was treated. Historical sampling also shows the presence of cobalt at Big Mike, with values in the deposit ranging up to 2,500 parts per million (0.25%) cobalt ( Source: Rye et al, Economic Geology, Vol. 79, 1984 ).
Nevada Sunrise optioned the Project from local vendors in 2018 and has carried out exploration in several campaigns including a high-resolution airborne VTEM TM survey, a follow-up ground gravity survey, an SGH geochemical survey, and a total of three diamond drill holes in 2018 and 2020.
The Company's 2018 airborne EM survey outlined a strong conductive system located within favourable geology in conjunction with an SGH anomaly, supporting the Company's belief that VMS deposits could be present at the Project (see Nevada Sunrise news release dated October 8, 2020 ). The U.S. Bureau of Land Management has approved nine drill hole locations throughout the Project, where each location can host multiple holes. In the drill testing performed by the Company to date, difficult ground conditions hampered the effectiveness of the three drill holes, none of which provided a definitive test of the targeted geophysical anomaly at Coronado South.

CopAur Minerals Signs Indicative Term Sheet to Acquire Remaining 18.74% Interest in Kinsley Mountain Gold Project
CopAur Minerals Inc. (TSXV: CPAU) (OTCQX: COPAF) ("CopAur" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has signed a non-binding indicative term sheet with Nevada Sunrise Metals Corporation ("Nevada Sunrise") to acquire Nevada Sunrise's 18.74% ownership interest in the Kinsley Mountain Gold Project in Nevada ("Kinsley Project"). If the transaction is completed CopAur will own 100% of the Kinsley Project.
The indicative term sheet outlines a potential transaction whereby CopAur will acquire Nevada Sunrises' 18.74% ownership interest in the Kinsley Project in consideration of the payment of CDN$475,000 and the issuance of 1,000,000 common shares of CopAur. The shares will be deposited in escrow and will be released in successive releases of 250,000 shares once every calendar quarter commencing after expiry of the four-month statutory hold period after the closing date. The terms are indicative, and the final terms are subject to the negotiation and completion of a definitive agreement on terms acceptable to CopAur and Nevada Sunrise. The transaction will be subject to several conditions including CopAur arranging a financing in the amount of a minimum of CDN$475,000, completion of satisfactory due diligence and the fulfilment of various closing conditions, including acceptance by the TSXV.
Chief executive officer Jeremy Yaseniuk stated: "Acquiring the remaining 18.74% ownership interest in the Kinsley Project will provide us with full control over the project and the ability to concentrate our efforts on advancing this exciting project. We completed reverse circulation and diamond core drilling program in late 2023 at Kinsley Mountain within the Main Pit North area located one kilometre southeast of the Western Flank Zone which intersected high grade near-surface oxide gold intercepts with the gold hosting Dunderberg shale 75 metres outside the current resource pit shell providing opportunities for near pit resource expansion. We now hope to initiate the integrated exploration data analysis to further advance the understanding of the Kinsley Project mineralization that will increase the efficiency and robustness of future exploration, targeting resource definition and development work."
The Kinsley Project hosts current mineral resources that CopAur is working to upgrade and expand. The Kinsley Project was a historical past producer that yielded 138,000 ounces of near-surface open-pit oxide gold between 1995 and 1999.
A technical report on the Kinsley Project titled "Technical Report of the Kinsley Project, Elko and White Pine Counties, Nevada, U.S.A.", dated June 21, 2021, with an effective date of May 5, 2021, prepared by Michael M. Gustin and Gary L. Simmons, is available for review under New Placer Dome Gold Corp.'s issuer profile on SEDAR+.
