Griffon produced 62,661 ounces of oxide gold by heap leaching from 1998 to 1999 before operations ceased during a period of low gold prices. Historical drilling, favorable Carlin-type host stratigraphy and widespread alteration indicate exploration potential both around the historic pits and in additional target areas.
To advance exploration at Griffon, Nevada Sunrise engaged VRIFY to apply DORA AI predictive modeling to the project’s extensive historical database. The company has integrated data from 214 historical drill holes totaling 62,768 feet together with modern IP/resistivity, AMT, magnetic and geochemical surveys completed during 2025. These datasets are expected to support refined drill targeting ahead of a planned 2026 drilling program.
In addition to Griffon, Nevada Sunrise also maintains copper and lithium exploration exposure through the Coronado, Gemini West, Jackson Wash and Badlands projects in Nevada. Warren Stanyer is a mineral exploration executive with over 30 years of experience in Canadian public company administration. He previously served as an officer of Pioneer Metals prior to its acquisition by Barrick Gold in 2006, and was also involved with UEX Corporation, Northern Continental Resources and Alpha Minerals, which was acquired by Fission Uranium in 2013 following the Patterson Lake South uranium discovery.
