Uranex Ltd. (ASX:UNX) announced that initial observations from this year’s exploration program at its Tanzania-based Nachu graphite project show “significant graphitic mineralisation intersected in all holes drilled to date.”

Drill hole observations include:

  • NARC055 – Completed to 101m at -60 degrees towards the west, 27m of graphitic schist and visible graphitic flakes to 34m from 4m downhole followed by an interval of graphitic schist with visible graphite flakes interlayered with dolomitic marble and gneiss to end of hole. This angled hole has confirmed the stratigraphic orientation and accuracy of EM modelling.
  • NARC056 – Completed to 232m; vertical hole through the northern EM target within Block D. The drillhole intersected 29m of graphitic schist with visible graphitic flakes between 2 and 32m, minimal graphitic schist to 83m followed by significant intervals of 7-18m of graphitic schist with interlayered dolomitic marble or gneiss to 217m, including 18m of graphitic schist with visible graphitic flakes from 130m.
  • NARC057 – Completed to 232m; vertical hole through the northern EM target within Block D. NARC057 included a deeper soil profile and intersected 24m of graphitic schist with visible graphitic flakes from 11m, followed by significant intervals of 5-26m of graphitic schist with interlayered dolomitic marble or gneiss to 223m, including 26m from 188m, with a 143m total cumulative downhole thickness of graphitic schist.
