The rising price of gold in recent days has had a positive effect on the TSX Venture Exchange which is heavily weighted toward exploration companies particularly those looking for gold. Pinnacle Digest reports that the TSXV has risen about 7 percent since late June.

The TSX Venture and gold have both experienced horrendous collapses in value since 2011, but they are now rising together.
Three weeks after hitting bottom, both gold and the TSX Venture have rebounded step for step. Gold closed the week near $1,300 and the TSX Venture closed at 920 on Friday. The rises are impressively similar.
