Newcastle Minerals Announce Updates for its South Swayze Greenstone Belt Properties
Newcastle Minerals Ltd.(TSXV:NCM) announced updates from its 2011 two-phase prospecting program. The 2011 program focused on the Neville-Potier gold-copper project. Newcastle also provided updates from their Chester and Mollie projects.The Company are planning geological mapping and sampling programs for Spring 2012.
As quoted in the press release:
During the autumn prospecting program, a total of 207 grab samples were taken from a variety of rock types and alteration styles and selectively assayed for gold, VMS and Cu-Ni-PGE, where warranted. Anomalous gold values were encountered ranging from 0.6 grams per tonne down to 0.2 grams per tonne in a variety of lithologies all containing quartz veining or flooding. The highest gold value encountered in outcrop (0.6 grams per tonne gold) also contained 0.04% copper and 0.1% molybdenum. Two samples of siliceous felsic volcanic taken 73 meters apart assayed 0.30% copper and 0.17% copper, respectively.

The results from the autumn 2011 program are very encouraging and suggest that the large Neville-Potier Project has potential to host gold mineralization in a variety of locations. We look forward to the results of the mapping and sampling program slated for the spring of 2012.
