Coal Mining Industry Will Fare Better Under Obama, says AFL-CIO President

Bloomberg reported that, according to AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka, the largest labour union in the U.S., contends that the coal mining industry will hold more promise if Obama is re-elected.

As quoted in the market report:

The number of coal jobs in the U.S. is half what it was 30 years ago. Some of those that remain are clustered in rural enclaves in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia that both candidates see as critical to winning the White House, which has made coal a prominent election issue.
