Powertech Uranium Corp. reports that its subsidiary, Powertech (USA) Inc., has submitted the underground injection control class V permit application for its Dewey-Burdock project.

The US EPA, who has the federal jurisdiction for underground injection control permits, also received the Company’s UIC Class III permit application in late 2008 and accepted it as being complete in early 2009. With the submittal of this Class V UIC permit application, the Region 8 EPA office will have received both required permit applications from Powertech for the Dewey-Burdock Project.

Richard Clement, President and CEO of Powertech Uranium says:

“I am pleased to report that Powertech has submitted this underground injection permit application to the EPA. Through our direct communication as well as the benefit of reviewing comments by the EPA on recently filed UIC applications, I am confident that the EPA will find this application addresses their requirements.”
