As quoted in the press release:
On April 30, 2012, the BC EAO commenced the review of the Final EA Application /EIS. The BC EAO will undertake a legislated 180-day review of the Application. The CEA Agency will conduct its environmental review concurrently with the BC EAO.
Avanti, President and CEO, Craig J.Nelsen, commented:
Avanti looks forward to the final review and receiving its Environmental Certificate for this mine development. We look forward to the review period with all regulatory agencies, First Nations and the public. Avanti is very proud of the plans it has developed for Kitsault and the quality of this EIS. We are hoping that the high level of pre-application consultation with all parties will result in a Certificate being granted faster than the mandated timelines.
