Australian mining reported that WA DMP has approved Ascot Resources Wonmunna iron ore mining proposal.
As quoted in the market news,
The miner has seen both its proposal and the associated mine closure plan approved.
The mine is located around 80 kilometres northwest of Newman and 30 kilometres west of Rio Tinto’s West Angelas iron ore mine, and comprises three mining leases and exploration licence.
It is intersected by the Great Northern Highway, which provides it direct road access to Port Hedland.
