5 Top NASDAQ Tech Stocks: PayPal Inc. Leads

This week’s NASDAQ top gainer in the Computer Software & Processing sector was PayPal Inc., followed by Rocket Fuel, Mimecast Limited, 21Vianet Group, Inc. and Verisign Inc.

The NASDAQ Technology Sector (INDEXNASDAQ:NDXT) had a good week. As of Friday, the index was up by 0.77 percent with 2,739.02 points.
Looking at the week’s gainers, companies weren’t quite able to break much higher than 15 percent in gains for the week. Included among last week’s top gainers in the computing software and processing industry were:

  • PayPal Inc. (NASDAQ:PYPL)
  • Rocket Fuel (NASDAQ:FUEL)
  • Mimecast Limited (NASDAQ:MIME)
  • 21Vianet Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:VNET)

Verisign Inc. (NASDAQ:VRSN)


Paypal Inc.
PayPal Inc. is a US globally operating online payments system. There was a recent cyberattack on PayPal.
PayPal Inc. gained 12.51 percent over the five-day trading period and finished at $44.15 per share. 
Rocket Fuel
Rocket Fuel are experts on marketing technology. They have recently shifted to mobile apps.

Rocket Fuel gained 12.45 percent over the five-day trading period and finished at $2.80 per share.


Mimecast Limited
Mimecast Limited is an international company managing cloud-based services for Microsoft. They have recently announced a new partnership with ZeroFOX, together protecting two platforms from potential cybercrimes – email and social media.
Mimecast Limited gained 12.28 percent over the five-day trading period and finished at $21.22 per share.
21Vianet Group, Inc.
21Vianet Group, Inc. is a Chinese data center service provider. They recently announced new cloud services available in China.
21Vianet Group, Inc. gained 9.85 percent over the five-day trading period and finished at $7.53 per share.
Verisign Inc.
Verisign Inc. is an American company that establishes web domains. They will announce their third quarter earnings on Thursday.
Verisign Inc. gained 7.73 percent over the five-day trading period and finished at $81.56 per share.
