Copper prices dipped slightly lower on Thursday, the Wall Street Journal reported, as trading remained light on Christmas Eve.

Copper for March delivery, the most actively traded contract, was recently down 0.1% at $2.1225 a pound on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Prices for the industrial metal are up around 6% after hitting their lowest level in more than six years in November. As the year winds down, some investors are taking profits on those gains, traders said.
