Platinum Drops as Amplats Mines Resume Operations

Reuters reported that the prices of platinum declined after Anglo American Platinum announced it will resume operations on its South African mines starting Wednesday.

As quoted in the market news:

Spot platinum fell 0.3 percent to $1,686.24 an ounce, while palladium edged up 0.1 percent to $762 an ounce.
