MineWeb reports European Nickel PLC (LON:ENK) commissioning of its heap leach trial site on the island of Luzon, Philippines, is progressing well, DSO operations at Acoje have now commenced and a forestry permit has been refunded in Turkey in the amount of US $2.84.

DMCI mobilised to site two weeks ago in preparation for the commencement of the trucking of ore to their port in Santa Cruz. The Company has been advised by DMCI that trucking operations will commence today. As announced by the Company on 8 March 2011, DMCI will undertake all the financial risk, operations and marketing associated with the mining and sale of the nickel laterite ore and pay ENK a royalty fee on each shipment made.
